From creating social media collateral to designing custom Fusion LEGO set packaging to creating a Fusion wrap of an F1 car simulator, working as Fusion Worldwide’s designer has given me chances to create things I never thought I would have a hand in. In early 2023, Fusion Worldwide sought a contract designer to support the upcoming launch of their online electronic component E-commerce platform on fusionww.com. I had the privilege of interviewing with a few members of the E-commerce team at Fusion, and shortly after that, I joined their team as a part-time designer. The task at hand was creating stylized images of the electronic components offered on their website, which I began taking on in a hybrid position. While working with the E-commerce team, I became familiar with some members of the marketing team, occasionally assisting with one-off design tasks to support them. At the start of 2024, I was offered a full-time position as the Graphic Designer on the marketing team at Fusion. The team quickly adopted me as their own, and I got the chance to start collaborating with each member on a wide selection of design tasks.

Working with the Fusion brand, developed by BigHuman Digital Product Agency in 2022, is a wonderful experience in learning the ins and outs of a complex design system. Creating a wide range of material for many different uses, both digital and print, has allowed me to immerse myself fully in what it takes to implement all facets of a brand’s identity.

I worked for 9 months creating images for Fusion’s E-commerce platform, but it was not as simple as drawing a few computer chips and calling it a day. It took me a while to develop a stylistic system to ensure consistency between the vastly varied parts and guarantee that the intricate details that distinguished the parts from one another were represented accurately.
