LA PATISSERIE MAGAZINE

When prompted to create a magazine about something I was interested in, I immediately gravitated towards creating a publication surrounding my passion for baking. I wanted to create a design style that embodied the class that I often associate with the baking world, but to also have a lot of bright and fun colors to show that it’s not all just about clean lines and classy motifs.
I enjoyed straying away from a uniform color palette throughout this magazine, and gravitated more towards drawing color from the images I was using to reflect that in some more prominent typography. I also wanted to add in some elements of illustration to pair with some of the photography to give it a less serious feeling. The overall feeling evoked from this is playful, informational, & bright.
